Vetrazzo Launch Press Release - Oct 10 2006
Recently formed Vetrazzo®, LLC, announces it has begun producing and distributing the well-known Vetrazzo surface material that was previously produced by Counter Production. The new company’s launch was aided by a generous $1.285 million grant from the California Department of Conservation to help Vetrazzo develop a new market for California’s curbside recycling glass.

Living with Ed
Vetrazzo featured on “Living with Ed”
On Sunday, January 21st, Vetrazzo was featured on the new hit show, Living with Ed.
Living with Ed is the new reality TV show on the Home & Garden channel (HGTV) that stars actor and Environmentalist-extraordinaire, Ed Begley Jr., and his lovely wife Rachelle Carson Begley. In the words of the New York Times, the show “explores a marriage between two people with opposing domestic agendas and it is a delight.” It’s a very timely look into the challenges of implementing (to an extreme) the practices of sustainable living.
In the episode which aired Sunday January 21st, called “Point Counter Point,” Ed and Rachelle install their new Vetrazzo countertop. Vetrazzo was featured throughout the episode, unlike most product installations on home renovation shows. Midway through the episode, Vetrazzo's President makes a guest appearance to explain why Vetrazzo is such a good choice for this green celebrity couple.
We designed a mix specifically for Ed and Rachelle, and we’ve named it “Hollywood Sage” in their honor. Check out the photos on this page.
By the way, if you missed the show on the 21st, check the HGTV website; it will be re-broadcast!
In addition, we'd like to offer special thanks to Baker Marble + Granite for donating their fabrication services. They are currently the only fabricator that has achieved Master Fabricator status from Vetrazzo. There are none better. www.bakermarble.com
And thanks also to Bill Westland of Old Fashioned Quality Tile. Bill did a fantastic job installing the backsplash (not shown in this picture -- check back soon for a picture with the backsplash), so if you are in the Los Angeles area and need a master tile installer, contact him (his information is below).
Bill is also in the process of becoming an Authorized Vetrazzo Fabricator -- so watch for his information to appear on our Where to Buy page on this website soon.
